Data technician

The role is predominately based within the Data Services team to manage and maintain the existing services as well as offering broader support across the IT services spectrum when required. You will also be assisting other departments with a range of general day to day requests.

• Responsible for data management and data quality, including compiling data for presentations/management reports..
• Responsible for the day to day monitoring and validation of data services.
• Assist with application reviews (internal and external), including collating facts & findings into action plans.
• Responsible for assisting with subscriber management, undertaking Monthly / Quarterly reviews.
• Assist with the collection and documentation of project/task requirements.
• Manage and maintain documents and libraries, avoiding duplication and data sprawl.
• Assist with the support and testing of FIS’ application stack and data services, liaising between Communications, Operations, Business Development, Brokers, Data Services and Accounts teams.
• Assist IT department when required with general Software, Network, Hardware, Security and Equipment tasks.
• Assist other departments with general day to day tasks.
• Ensure full awareness of and adhere to internal policies that relate to the role or any relevant other activities.
• Support a risk and compliance aware culture and comply with FIS company policies.
• Exercise judgement and act with integrity, due care, skill and diligence .
• Ensure full awareness of and adhere to internal policies that relate to the role or any relevant other activities.
• Observe standards of market conduct and ensure understanding and adherence to all regulatory, exchange or clearing house requirements applicable to role.
• Complete any mandatory training required by the company within required deadlines.
• Maintain own Continued Professional Development (CPD).
• Perform any other reasonable duties the company may require.
